ITIL® 4 Foundation
This course prepares you for the examination leading to the Foundation certificate in IT service management.
The course is designed as an introduction to ITIL 4 and enables you to understand a more holistic view of IT service management. There is a greater focus on IT and business alignment, ensuring that IT delivers real business value. The concepts of value co-creation, value streams, and the evolution of the ITIL processes into more robust practices are key.
While the knowledge from ITIL v3 is still highly relevant, here are a few additional changes covered in this course:
- The 26 processes and functions have evolved into 34 practices, coming from general business, service management, and technical management. This course focuses on 15 of them.
- The Service Value System (SVS) which is a flexible and more evolved ecosystem.
- The Service Value Chain (SVC), the backbone of the SVS, which describes how all the activities and resources work together to create practical solutions that deliver the desired outcome to your customers.
- The four dimensions of Service Management.
- The seven guiding principles.
- Key concepts from Lean IT, Agile, DevOps, and Organizational Change Management, and why these are important to deliver business value.
- Guidance on successfully navigating a Digital Transformation journey.
