Build the Governance Your AI Adoption
Already Needs.
Your organization is already using AI. Regulators, customers, and auditors are starting to ask how you govern it. ISO/IEC 42001 is the international standard for AI management systems — and Aspen Transformation trains your team to meet it.
AI Is Already in Your Organization. Is Its Governance?
Most enterprise organizations are using AI tools today — in operations, IT, service delivery, and decision-making. But fewer than a fraction have formal AI governance practices in place. That gap is visible to regulators, auditors, and increasingly, to customers and partners.
- →Regulatory exposure as AI mandates (EU AI Act, sector rules) take effect
- →Audit and procurement liability when customers ask "how do you govern AI?"
- →Risk management blind spots — AI systems you don't track become ones you can't defend
- →Competitive disadvantage as ISO 42001-ready suppliers pull ahead
ISO 42001 Awareness & Organizational Readiness
Aspen Transformation trains your team on what ISO 42001 requires, how it applies to your AI use cases, and how to build the organizational practices that satisfy it — starting from your existing ITSM foundation.
Standard Awareness
Team-wide training on ISO/IEC 42001 — what it requires, how it's structured, and what it means in practice for your organization's AI use. No jargon, no vendor pitch — just clarity.
Policy & Risk Practices
Hands-on work on the governance practices ISO 42001 calls for — AI risk registers, use-case documentation, accountability structures, and policy frameworks your team can actually maintain.
ITSM Bridge
We connect your existing ITSM and ITIL 4 process maturity to the AI governance framework — so your team isn't starting from zero, they're extending what they already know.

"The organizations that will navigate AI governance well aren't the ones that panic when the regulations arrive — they're the ones whose teams already understand what governance means in practice. We've been building that foundation with ITSM training for years. ISO 42001 is the next layer."
Low Competition. High Credibility. Right Timing.
ISO 42001 was published in 2023. The training ecosystem is still thin. Organizations building AI governance practices now are doing so before the majority of their competitors, suppliers, and industry peers — which means the organizations that train with Aspen today are ahead.
Leslie's enterprise and government track record — training teams at Boeing, the Federal Reserve, state governments, and major universities — gives Aspen the credibility to operate in governance-sensitive environments.
Book a Readiness ConsultationAI Governance — Common Questions
Straight answers to what enterprise buyers ask us about ISO 42001 and AI governance readiness.
01.What is ISO 42001 and why does it matter now?
ISO/IEC 42001 is the international standard for AI Management Systems — it defines how organizations should establish, implement, and continually improve governance over AI use. It matters now because AI is already inside most enterprise organizations, regulators are moving fast (EU AI Act, executive orders, sector mandates), and organizations that establish governance frameworks early will be better positioned for both compliance and stakeholder trust.
02.Do we need to be certified to ISO 42001?
Not necessarily — and for most organizations, readiness and documented governance practices are more immediately valuable than formal certification. We train your team to understand the standard, apply it to your AI use cases, and build the organizational practices that a certification audit would look for. Formal certification is a later decision you make based on your regulatory environment and competitive positioning.
03.How does AI governance connect to our ITSM or ITIL work?
Directly. The ITIL-grounded disciplines — change management, risk management, service ownership, incident handling — are the same organizational practices that AI governance frameworks require you to extend to AI systems. If your team has ITSM maturity, you have a foundation. We help you understand how to apply that maturity to the AI governance context.
04.Who in our organization needs this training?
Anyone involved in acquiring, deploying, managing, or governing AI tools — including IT leadership, product and operations teams, compliance and risk functions, and senior management. AI governance is cross-functional; a policy your IT team doesn't understand, and an AI system your compliance team doesn't know exists, are both governance failures waiting to happen.
05.Is this training relevant if we're just using off-the-shelf AI tools?
Yes — and this is the gap most organizations miss. ISO 42001 and emerging AI regulations apply to AI use, not just AI development. If your organization is using AI tools (chatbots, AI-assisted decision-making, vendor AI embedded in your software), you have governance obligations. We train your team to understand where those obligations apply and how to build practices that meet them.
